This award recognises excellence in business management and franchise citizenship for franchisee owner operators, and assesses a number of areas including business planning and performance, team leadership, marketing and customer contact, and community contribution. Following being selected as a finalist amongst a high calibre of well known and established franchise businesses in NSW, Beaumont Tiles Fyshwick staff attended the NSW awards dinner on Friday 8 July at Novotel, Olympic Park, and took home the highly coveted prize. This award makes Beaumont Tiles Fyshwick a finalist for the FCA National Franchising Awards, which will be held later this year in October. Franchisee and owner of the store - Bernadette Jones says, “I am extremely proud and honoured to have won this award. I consider it a huge achievement for my team who are always been open to changes to better the store, and the way we do business. We look forward to the FCA National Franchising Awards, where hopefully we can continue our Beaumont Tiles’ awards run.” The Fyshwick store was awarded for their consistent business goal setting and strategy planning, information sharing with their team about budgets and performance, and an increase in sales close to half a million dollars each year from 2008 to 2011. Beaumont Tiles frequently increases the number of franchised outlets across the country in order to continue its success with further growth and expansion. Beaumont Tiles Franchise Manager - Trevor Dixon says, “Finding the right people to join us is key to keeping the Beaumont Tiles brand successful and growing strong. Winning this award is not only testament to Beaumont Tiles, but to the franchisees Bernadette and Gary Jones, and all of the hard work they have accomplished.” Priding themselves on being different and not the average, corporate, franchised business, Dixon says, “Employing approximately 200 staff through franchise stores, each staff member has input to the way the business is run and every single branch is a profit centre; highlighting that Beaumont Tile’s success is based on a team effort.” With a successful business model, Beaumont Tiles provides franchisees with proven marketing and advertising strategies, a complete and diverse product range, group buying power, central warehouse and distribution centres, a custom IT system, plus accounting and management support.
