Big Dad's Pies- New addition to RFG

We are a specialty pie retailer with our focus on product, retail and operational excellence. The pie selection in store is complemented by a range of sausage rolls, pastries, plus a selection of cakes and slices. Big Dad’s Pies is proudly operated under license by Retail Food Group Australia (RFG). RFG is Australia’s largest multi brand food franchisor.

Big Dad’s Pies is the most recent addition to the Retail Food Group brands, famously offering pie connoisseurs the “biggest and the best” pie available made up of a unique blend of high quality ingredients.

Our focus is on product, retail and operational excellence. The pie selection in store is complemented by a range of sausage rolls, pastries and a selection of cakes and slices. The beauty of the Big Dad’s Pies system lies in the consistency of quality product and the ease of operation at store level. Our pies are delivered either fresh or frozen (depending upon location) into the store. The consumer is able to see you top and bake the pies in front of them thus enhancing the theatre of the store. The ease of operation means that no bakery experience or Bakers are needed.

Skills and Experience

Part of the beauty of the Big Dad’s Pies franchise system is its simplicity. Subsequently there is no need to have formal business, food or retail experience.

The initial training course is held at the RFG National Training Academy on the Gold Coast QLD and will equip you with the skills required to run your business. It is important though that you have the personal attributes required to become an RFG and Big Dad’s Pies franchisee. These include:

Be honest, have integrity and possess a positive personality
Be self motivated and goal orientated
Financial competence
Possess leadership qualities and be a team player .
